Would you please clarify the edits and additions you made at de Graeff page. As it stands now I have to say it seems to be very unclear and confusing what is what...by that I mean especially the cadet branches on House of Graeff van Valkenburg and House of Graeff van Polsbroek pages, especially the first one....there are two cadet branches there named "Graeff" which is the same as main branch and no note how are they cadets and from whom they are issued. Usually if the cadets of the family did use exactly the same name and arms we always add some type of differentiated so that neutral observer can more easily understand. - Hello user Finellach, thank you for your suggestions; I now understand the mistake on both sides. I will change it; Since the family used different name variants, this can be changed accordingly.. Kind regards --Holland (talk) 18:36, 14 May 2021 (CEST)
- In order to correctly represent the genealogy based on the coat of arms, I am missing at least two coats of arms. Since I don't have the knowledge to create these coats of arms using special programs, I have improved the Graeff site as much as possible. kind regards --Holland (talk) 19:08, 14 May 2021 (CEST)
Which coa's are you missing for Graeff family? Post the links and I'll see if I can do something about it. Finellach (talk) 19:28, 18 May 2021 (CEST)
- Thanks for your offer, but I saw that JSpuller did the missing uploads. --Holland (talk) 22:08, 22 May 2021 (CEST)
What about these two arms: De Graeff-Vredenhof and De Graeff-Polsbroek? Are these personal arms or variants? Finellach (talk) 15:03, 25 May 2021 (CEST)
Good evening! The first one was used in female line from the branch of the HRR knights / Vrijheeren van Jaarsveld; the 2nd one was used by the family in the mid 17 century as a variant of the swan coat of arms. But there's a mistake with two arms here: the family branch De Graeff van Polsbroek didn't used the swan, they used the goose which stands for their fief Purmerland - Ilpendam (1678 to 1870). Both arms (File:De Graeff 1678.svg and File:Da Graeff van Zuid-Polsbroek.svg) need a small correction; instead of the swans they have to show gooses (like here File:De Graeff, Polsbroek.svg - this arms is correct). But this mistake with swan and goose did happen often, because it's too similar in the presentation. Greetings --Holland (talk) 23:49, 26 May 2021 (CEST)
