The Peerages of the United Kingdom consist of the highest-ranking members of the British nobility. Within the United Kingdom, five peerage divisions currently co-exist.
Elevation to the peerages grants the right to be eligible to a seat in the House of Lords and to serve in a ministerial role if invited to do so. The coats of arms shown below depict the arms of the peer when the peerage was granted.
