The Wars of Conquest were a series of campaigns initiated by House Targaryen and its allies in a bid to unite the continent of Westeros under Targaryen rule. The wars ultimately ended with the Targaryens bringing six of the seven kingdoms into their fold, with Dorne retaining its independence for another two centuries.
