Cornillan, would they be the same family as Cornilhan/de Corneillan, or are they related? I find both their name and arms ar quite similar.
Pierre de Cornilhan ou de Corneillan. ─ De gueules à une bande d’argent, chargée de trois corneilles de sable, [becquées et membrées de gueules].

Pierre de Corneillan
They are the same family indeed. Like all medieval french families they have many different spellings. I wanted to indicate those in some cases but it's a bit too much information to fit on the pages (or at least not under the emblems).
Corneillan is the french spelling, while the correct form is Cornilhan or Cornillan in occitan. They were lords of La Baume Cornillane, Rosset, Vinsobres, etc. in Valentinois.
The bend is or for the two main branches in Provence and Dauphiné (both extinct in the XVth and XVIth c.). The bend argent probably comes from their cadet branch in Burgundy, still alive centuries later.
Guy Allard gives exactly : "de gueules à la bande d'or, chargée de trois corneilles de sable" and there's a seal from the middle of the XIVth century confirming it (Roman n°334).
