Btw creating sub-section such as "Ukraine" as you did earlier is not really appropriate, usually the article should pertain to the entity it refers to specifically...kingdom, principality, republic, whatever. The only such precedent is Iceland but as an island it's a specific case. Also the official name of Ukraine is Ukrainian Republic, they just use simplified "Ukraine". Second, combining modern Ukraine which formed and was established as "Ukrainian People's Republic" in 1917 with West Ukrainian People's Republic as the latter was part of it is wrong. Ukraine is political entity not a region...so the latter entity was attempt to create a separate state from Austro-Hungarian Kingdom of Galicia as a separate state but failed and was incorporated into the former. And don't worry about Czechoslovak arms, you should know that sometimes the site doesn't really update visually immediately, sometimes it takes time so uploading numerous version trying to push won't do anything. It usually updates after 10-15 minutes but sometimes it takes much longer but it does visually update....so patience. ;) Finellach (talk) 17:28, 7 May 2020 (CEST)

Dughorm RE: Sorry, did not know the pages have to be strictly region-based. Ukraine does not have any official names specifying the type of government, although historical states did. The Constitution specifies that Ukraine is a republic (Art. 5), but does not use that as the name of the state. West Ukrainian People's Republic was not incorporated into the Ukrainian People's Republic because it failed, but rather was a goal of both governments, ignoring later cessation of the West as a condition of a truce with Poland.

Well "strictly" isn't the term I would use but it is a "rule" that is followed, usually there is a tendency to follow a standard so if you make a certain page one way and another the other way then you have the discrepancy which then leads to confusion and weird outlook in general. In fact even the Iceland example I mentioned above isn't really right as that is my fault since I was very busy at the time so I had no time to fix it, so it just stayed like that over time...and now I am just lazy to fix as it seems ok anyway since it's an island. Anyway, what happens with this specific example of "Ukraine" page, if you create it then it refers to modern Ukrainian republic specifically and then if you put the category "Coa" in it and place the arms of West Ukrainian's Rep. there as well then one might get the impression this was arms that was used by modern Ukraine at some point, which they didn't. Writing this is weird but I hope you get what I am saying. And what I meant by incorporation of West Ukrainian Rep. I meant the territory, I was clear that it was a failed attempt, still it was a separate entity from modern Ukraine which has its legal basis in another entity formed in 1917. Dughorm RE: Got it. So, a page of a country can have things like arms of self-governing entities within it, rulers, noble families etc?

Yes, ofc. I mean look at how other pages are constructed. It's quite simple. Finellach (talk) 11:37, 8 May 2020 (CEST)
