Salles des Croisades

The Salles des Croisades ("Halls of Crusades") are a set of rooms located in the Palace of Versailles, created in the mid-19th century by King Louis-Philippe.
The rooms are filled with over 120 paintings related to the Crusades. King Louis-Philippe included the names of the thousands of families whose ancestors went to the Crusades, encouraging many forgeries at that time.
The speed of the construction of the halls had infallibly lead to inaccuracies and even mistakes; some corrections were made later.
