Talk:House of Poitiers-Valentinois
The counts of Valentinois always used the six bezants design from the very first known seal :
. (from Roman, Joseph - Description des sceaux des familles seigneuriales de Dauphiné)
There are however a few variants : A couple of seals show ten bezants which could also be interpreted as a semis of bezants instead of six : File:Aymar III de Poitiers, comte de Valentinois - 1270.png
The lords of Saint-Vallier used either the same arms or a variant featuring a lion in chief : File:Amédée de Poitiers - 1286.png
The lords of Chalançon used a bend as brisure (I'd say argent for the tincture but there's no way to be sure).
