Coronation of King Eric XIV of Sweden
As Eric XIV Vasa was crowned king of Sweden in 1561, he introduced the noble titles of count and baron to the Swedish nobility. The new titles were largely a confirmation of the position the nobles already held within the kingdom, all of whom were already the ones closest to the newly crowned king.
