According to succession contract their eldest son Jean was to adopt the name and arms of his mother's family which he did upon her death and his succession in 1459, however he died without legitimate issue and his arms (Pierrepont arms and name) were transmitted to his illegitimate son Louis and his line. His younger brother Amé II originally succeeded to their father's possessions and the County of Braine from his mother, however after his brother's death without legitimate issue his son Robert II succeeded his uncle Robert I in Pierrepont estates as well -->
