Regarding the coat of arms: Arms of Wildeshausen was the arms adopted (substituting Oldenburg "lines) by both Heinrich II and Burchard his younger brother. Heinrich's son later re-adoped the Oldenburg arms later referred to as "Neu-Bruchhausen" where the main line continued, Burchard's line kept the roses and continued in Wildeshausen until his grand-daughter who married Christian III of the main Oldenburg line. The three roses are those of the Counts of Hallermund (albeit with reversed tincture) as the mother of Heinrich III and Burchard was Beatrix of Hallermund, daughter of Wilbrand I, Count of Hallermund. Tinctures are known from the arms of Albrecht II of Hoya...Hoya family in general were successor to almost all Oldenburg-Wildeshausen-Bruchhausen inheritance and used all three coat of arms of this branch. -->
