Order of the Garter: Difference between revisions

Founded in 1348, the Most Noble Order of the Garter is the highest order of chivalry in England, and later in the United Kingdom.
Membership is limited to the Sovereign, the Prince of Wales, and no more than 24 Companions chosen by the Sovereign.
