The Peake Uprising was a war fought in Westeros between King Maekar Targaryen and the rebellious Peakes of Starpike, in 233 AC.
House Peake revolted against the Iron Throne after being stripped of two of their three castles for their participation in the First Blackfyre Rebellion, and the execution of their lord, Gormon Peake, following the Second Blackfyre Rebellion.
The war ended with a Pyrrhic victory for House Targaryen, as while the Peakes' rebellion was successfully quashed, King Maekar was killed in action, sparking a political crisis resolved only by the Great Council of 233 AC.
Information about the rebellion can be found in George R.R. Martin's The World of Ice and Fire.
