The Blacks were the faction of lords and nobles who remained loyal to Princess Rhaenyra and her claim to the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. Their reasoning for supporting Rhaenyra rested on King Viserys annointing her as his heir and compelling the lords of the realm to swear oaths of loyalty to her rights as the Princess of Dragonstone in 105 AC.
