His uncle Pope Innocent XI also created him before that Duke of Ceri in 1678. In 1696 he bought Bracciano castle from the Orsini family. Since he had no children he proclaimed his 1st cousin Baldassare Erba-Odescalchi to be his heir, Baldassare being a son of Lucrezia Odescalchi who was Livio's aunt and sister of Carlo Odescalchi and Pope Innocent XI -->
