Son of this John was Robert who moved to France and served in the Scots Guard, Robert's son Jacques was at first captain then lord of Lorges, he married the heiress of Ducey (Claudine de la Boissiere), their son was (in)famous Gabriel de Montgomery (also known as Gabriel de Lorges), Lord of Lorges and Ducey, favorite at the court of King Henri II and he was created Count of Montgromery (Comte de Montgomery) of Montgomerie in Normandy. He later accidentally killed King Henri II in a jousting tournament.-->
