The Greens were the faction of lords and nobles who pressed Prince Aegon's claim to the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. Their reasoning for supporting Aegon hinged on his status as the first-born son of King Viserys I Targaryen, tradition of succession, and the precedent established at the Great Council of 101 AC.
