Westeros | Essos | Events | Military Orders The Peake Uprising was a war fought in Westeros between King Maekar Targaryen and the rebellious Peakes of Starpike, in 233 AC.
House Peake revolted against the Iron Throne after being stripped of two of their three castles for their participation in the First Blackfyre Rebellion, and the execution of their lord, Gormon Peake, following the Second Blackfyre Rebellion.
The war ended with a Pyrrhic victory for House Targaryen, as while the Peakes' rebellion was successfully quashed, King Maekar was killed in action, sparking a political crisis resolved only by the Great Council of 233 AC.
Information about the rebellion can be found in George R.R. Martin's The World of Ice and Fire. <gallery caption="Belligerents" align=center style= "color: #292929;font-size:1.2em;font-weight: normal;text-align:center;font-style: normal;"> House Targaryen.svg|House Targaryen
Kings of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men
Lords of the Seven Kingdoms
Protectors of the Realm </gallery> <gallery caption="β" align=center style= "color: #292929;font-size:1.2em;font-weight: normal;text-align:center;font-style: normal;"> House Peake.svg|House Peake
Lords of Starpike
Lords of Dunstonbury (formerly)
Lords of Whitegrove (formerly) </gallery> <gallery caption="Leaders of the Targaryen side" align=center style= "color: #292929;font-size:1.2em;font-weight: normal;text-align:center;font-style: normal;"> Maekar Targaryen.svg|Maekar Targaryen
King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men
Lord of the Seven Kingdoms
Protector of the Realm
4th son of King Daeron II House Targaryen.svg|Aegon Targaryen
Prince of the Targaryen dynasty
4th son of King Maekar House Reyne.svg|Robert Reyne
Lord of Castamere House Reyne.svg|Roger Reyne
the Red Lion
Eldest son and heir of Robert Reyne, Lord of Castamere House Lannister.svg|Tywald Lannister
Eldest son and heir of Gerold Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock House Lannister.svg|Tion Lannister
2nd son of Gerold Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock </gallery> <gallery caption="Houses serving the Iron Throne" align=center style= "color: #292929;font-size:1.2em;font-weight: normal;text-align:center;font-style: normal;"> House Lannister.svg|House Lannister House Reyne.svg|House Reyne </gallery> <gallery caption="Leaders of the Peake uprising" align=center style= "color: #292929;font-size:1.2em;font-weight: normal;text-align:center;font-style: normal;"> House Peake.svg|Lord Peake
Lord of Starpike
Lord of Dunstonbury (formerly)
Lord of Whitegrove (formerly) </gallery>
