The branch was legitimated in 1797 and eventually allowed to resume the title of Prince of Nassau-Saarbrucken. While Adolph Louis would technically succeed his half-brother Henry Louis (Heinrich Ludwig) in 1797 the title actually went to Charles William of Usingen parent branch until his death in 1803. Adolph Louis was thus definitely allowed to take the title after 1805, however it was titular at best as Saarbrucken had already been occupied and annexed by the French --> </gallery>
