The 5th Count later renounced his dutch titles to his younger brother and moved to England, however he was later allowed to use the courtesy title of "Count Bentinck" in the UK. The grandson of this 5th Count Bentinck later succeeded as 11th Earl of Portland. This branch was usually known as Bentinck van Rhoon or sometimes even just Van Rhoon. The younger branch added the name Aldenburg from the wife of 1st Count Bentinck and mother of 2nd and 3rd Count Bentinck (ancestors of both this and the branch below), both Bentinck-Aldenburg and Aldenburg-Bentinck were used until it was settled on the latter...see below --> Bentinck-Aldenburg.svg|House of Aldenburg-Bentinck
Counts Bentinck
Counts of Aldenburg-Bentinck
Counts of Waldeck-Limpurg
Younger branch issued from William Charles, 2nd son of Charles Anthony, 4th Count Bentinck
Added the name of [[House of Oldenburg-Delmenhorst|House of Aldenburg]] from the maternal ancestors i.e wife of 1st Count and mother of 2nd and 3rd Counts Bentinck </gallery>
